Who is he?
Kamenashi Kazuya, who is a Japanese singer and actor, was born in Tokyo in 1986. He is good in dancing and singing. He is a good baseball player. Although he is popular and is kept a close watching on paparazzi, his way of life is normal.
How does he become famous?
He joined Johnny's Entertaiment in 1998 when he was only 12 years old. He is a member of KAT-TUN, a group of six people who was set in 2001 to be back dance of Koichi. Then KAT-TUN becomes famous and debuted in March, 2006 under the record label J-one Record. They have released many popular singles such as Real Face and Signal. They have a lot of shows in television programs, musical comedies and advertisements such as Utawara, KAT-TUNx3, Shounen Club, SUMMARY, Lotte Gum, Crunky Chocolate etc. He gained fame as an actor after starring in the Japanese dramas.
What type of character has he played?
He was considered to played in a lot of television dramas and musical comedies such as Gokusen 2, Suppli, Nobuta wo Produce, Dream Boy etc. He ever played as blinder. His roles almost are a student and official in a company. His role in Nobuta wo Produce is Shuji Kiritani who is one of the most popular guys in his school. He is pretending to care for all of his classmates, but deep down is quiet and doesn't open up to others. But for some reason, when his eccentric classmate Akira Kusano which played by Tomohisa Yamashita is around, he can show his true self.
Awards
Kamenashi Kazuya won 44th Television Drama Academy Awards for best supporting actor in role of Odagiri Ryu in Gokusen 2. He also won 47th Television Academy Awards for best actor in Nobuta wo Produce.
